So many of us come into this field with huge hearts, horse experience and a desire to help others with horses as our partners. We spend hours selecting the right horses, the right volunteers and creating elaborate lesson plans for our participants. We as therapists and instructors in the EAS field put great care into creating an inclusive atmosphere of acceptance, challenge and success in our arenas each week... yet some people think it's still "just a pony ride". Heartland Equine Therapeutic Riding Academy has been in the industry for over 35 years. We want to help passionate professionals continue to create high caliber, impactful programming and help them foster thriving and sustainable centers. It is our mission to share the benefits and science behind what we do through our podcast and online education, with hopes that everyone can understand that it is so much more than 'Just a Pony Ride'.
